Blaptica dubia are a fairly large, live-bearing species, getting to around 5cm when adult, they are commonly kept and bred as a feeder food for carnivorous invertebrates, reptiles and amphibians.
Both the males and females are winged, females have tiny wings, whille the male's wings are much longer.
They are found in parts of Central and South America, including French Guyana, B. dubia prefer to be kept fairly warm and humid.
