Achatina achatina ssp. achatina f. depravata

Achatina achatina ssp. achatina f. (form) depravata are a plain yellow shelled form of Achatina achatina ssp. achatina, just as rodatzi are a form of fulica hamillei. Little is known about the breeding of this form at the moment, whether breeding two depravata would produce both plain and striped snails.

This form is found in the Ivory Coast, it may also be found in other parts of West Africa.

As they are just a plain shelled form of A. achatina ssp achatina (the most commonly seen subspecies) there is no reason why they wouldnt get to a large size, so a shell size of around 18cm is likely.

Fairly recently a large batch of plain shelled A.achatina was produced from striped parents, which would suggest the plain shelled snails are depravata, this would also suggest that the likelihood of producing plain shelled depravata is the same as producing rodatzi from fulica hamillei, which is explained here.
