Achatina fulica hamillei

Achatina fulica hamillei are a subspecies of Achatina fulica, the normal form looks very much like an average Achatina fulica, though the shell may be less striped and marked, and sometimes lighter in colour, like other fulica the body colour is variable, and may even be albino.

The interesting aspect about them is they are able to produce a yellow shelled form of Achatina fulica known as rodatzi (Achatina fulica hamillei f. (form) rodatzi)

Breeding two confirmed fulica hamillei together, making sure they are from a batch of hamillei, either normal or rodatzi form, will produce a mixture of both the normal and rodatzi forms, breeding two rodatzi together may increase the chances of producing more rodatzi than normal shelled hamillei.

They need identical care conditions to Achatina fulica, as they are a subspecies of fulica, keeping them separate from non-hamillei is recommended, as they would crossbreed with Achatina fulica and potentially weaken the rodatzi form in doing so.
