Large Seashore Earwig

Large species of Earwig, getting to around 3.5cm.  Found in coastal area's of New Zealand, amongst sea-weed and under logs, they are fine at room temperature, and can be kept quite humid, or in relatively dry conditions, but extra heating isnt recommended unless the temperature is naturally quite low, 18-22c should be fine for them.

These are communal, and will appreciate some hiding places, and a sandy substrate, they will eat seaweed, but also fruits, vegetables and small insects if seaweed isnt available.

Pairs are available if requested, the are dimorphic, females pincers are more pointed than the males.
